The addition of a in law suit in an unfinished basement required a lot of electrical work to comply with current Canadian electrical code. This includes obtaining an electrical permit and inspection by local authorities.

First, the main electrical service panel was upgraded to allow more capacity. Then the lighting and receptacles were laid out throughout the suit including kitchen counter plugs and appliances. The receptacles in closet proximity of sinks had to be of a GFCI type. Laundry appliance outlets needed to be provided. A 240 volt, 60 amps power was provided for a level 2 EV charging station. Smoke and CO2 detectors were installed and interconnected to the upstairs unit. The retrofit low-profile LED lighting provided ample lighting for a relatively dark basement. Bathroom and kitchen floor heating matt controlled by a thermostat was installed to give extra comfort and heat in cold winter days.

The backyard was designed with a few lights and highlighted the beauty of the outdoor area.
we designed the exterior of the house, focusing on lighting and decorative elements. We used smart lighting to enhance the facade, making it visually appealing at night while creating a warm and inviting entrance.
